One of the key areas in my oration was that the corporation tax in Northern Ireland is 30% and our corporation tax is 12.5%. The North is losing out significantly on foreign direct investment because of this punitive 30% tax rate. Gordon Brown and the Treasury in London are responsible for financial matters in the North.
