I support Senator Glynn's call for the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform to come into the House to discuss the question of vandalism. I also want to put to the Minister the question of the sale of fireworks, which I believe cannot be sold legally here, yet travelling from Monaghan yesterday morning I saw huge containers full of fireworks. They are also being sold in shops and from vans on the side of the road. Are these fireworks illegal or are they not? Why do the police not arrest the people selling them? We might ask the Minister about that if he comes into the House for a debate.
