Use of Irish Airports: Motion.
6:00 pm
Maurice Cummins (Fine Gael)
There is a question about the role of the Garda. Senator Norris said he was informed by senior members of the Garda that they do not have jurisdiction to board the airplanes in question. The Minister has stated categorically that is not the case. That question must be clarified with the senior gardaĆ because I would have thought senior members of the Garda would be au fait with the law of the land in this regard and if they are not, they and their superiors should be informed of the law.
