Planning and Development (Strategic Infrastructure) Bill 2006: Second Stage.
4:00 pm
James Bannon (Fine Gael)
The national development plan in 1999 set aside €546 million for the construction of four light rail lines in Dublin to be completed during the lifetime of the programme, that is, up to 2006. The first two lines are already almost €200 million over this target and the Government has given no commitment to construct the originally planned further two lines.
