Order of Business.
11:00 am
John Gerard Hanafin (Fianna Fail)
On several occasions Senators have mentioned mobile phone charges. I welcome the all-Ireland standard charges made by a mobile phone company. It is a step in the right direction. Not all companies, however, have introduced standard charges. One company has gone so far as to erect a sign in Dundalk bearing the message "welcome to Ireland". A strong attitude change may be needed there.
I agree with those Senators who do not wish to form a select committee on the rendition flights. The United States is a friendly nation. Contrary to what an Opposition Senator has said, it is not a criminal regime. It may not be the regime he wants to see elected but it is not criminal.
