John Dardis (Progressive Democrats)

Senator Norris makes a reasonable point about committees clashing, an experience that we have all had. We must repeatedly make the case that we must attend this House, but it does not seem to be taken into account. I have a good deal of sympathy with the Senator's view, and we may raise it elsewhere.

Regarding CIA renditions and the prevention of torture, I understand that the aeroplanes are technically foreign territory, and that gardaĆ do not have the right to enter them. I may be wrong about that.
