I thank the Leas-Chathaoirleach. My concern is that private providers are so hard pressed at present that they will be forced to take on board this €20 per week. It will, therefore, be obliterated overnight.

The tax exemption for the home-based childminders, which we proposed, is welcome. However, those on social welfare incomes, including single parents, who want to be in this area, will be hit.
