I have received notice from Senator Fitzgerald that on the motion for the Adjournment of the House today, he proposes to raise the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Education and Science to ensure that Greendale community school's premises at Kilbarrack, Dublin 5, be allowed to remain dedicated to community development in the service of Kilbarrack and the wider community, through the school's adult education and community recreational programmes.

I have also received notice from Senator McHugh of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Education and Science to indicate the proposals which are in place to create a more centralised facility for issuing higher education grants and the mechanisms which will be put in place to ensure adequate staffing costs.

I have also received notice from Senator Bradford of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Agriculture and Food to support in the strongest possible way the continuation of the sugar beet industry in Ireland.

I have also received notice from Senator Bannon of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for the Environment, Heritage and Local Government to clarify the position in respect of the commencement of the Rathowen sewerage scheme, the provision of which is urgently required in the interests of local environmental, health, residential, commercial and tourism interests.

I regard the matters raised the Senators as suitable for discussion on the Adjournment. I have selected the matters raised by Senators Fitzgerald, McHugh and Bradford and they will be taken at the conclusion of business. Senator Bannon may give notice on another day of the matter he wishes to raise.
