Business of Seanad.

2:30 pm

Rory Kiely (Fianna Fail)

I have received notice from Senator Dardis that on the motion for the Adjournment of the House today, he proposes to raise the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Defence to give a detailed progress report regarding decentralisation of his Department to Newbridge, County Kildare, and of Defence Forces headquarters to the Curragh, County Kildare, to include details of site selection, dates for staff transfer and numbers of staff prepared to transfer.

I have also received notice from Senator Morrissey of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Education and Science to outline the special resources that are being afforded to schools to accommodate large numbers of international children in light of the growing challenge this poses to teachers.

I regard the matters raised by the Senators as suitable for discussion on the Adjournment and they will be taken at the conclusion of business.
