Why is the Minister of State in denial? We know it perfectly well. We know that bass have been affected. One must look at the position in the case of cod. Were we not all on the same side when the people in Newfoundland were fighting against the Spanish and Portuguese? Why is he singing a different tune now? We should be trying to protect what is left of our stocks. We also know that, for example, there should be proper openness and transparency in the case of our own fishermen and in terms of resources.
