Business of Seanad.

10:30 am

Rory Kiely (Fianna Fail)

I have received notice from Senator Bradford that, on the Adjournment of the House today, he proposes to raise the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Agriculture and Food to vigorously defend the Irish sugar beet industry.

I have also received notice from Senator Finucane of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Education and Science to allow Raheenagh, Ashford, Broadford and Templeglantine schools in County Limerick to retain the present level of teaching resources to cater for the special educational needs of the pupils of these schools.

I have also received notice from Senator Browne of the following matter:

To ask the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform the reason Shanagarry Community Childcare Limited, County Carlow, was unsuccessful in its application for capital funding in 2005.

I regard the matters raised by the Senators as suitable for discussion on the Adjournment and they will be taken at the conclusion of business.
