National Consumer Agency: Motion.
6:00 am
Terry Leyden (Fianna Fail)
I thank my opposite number, Senator Coghlan, for his worthwhile contribution. Some confusion exists, and Senator O'Toole put his finger on it. It is obvious the motion we put forward should be accepted without a vote. We welcome the publication of the report. This motion deals with the establishment of the organisation involved. It does not deal with the amendments put forward by the opposition. What confused me is that Senator Coghlan, who is not in a position to do so, criticised a section of the motion protecting the retention of the groceries order. I am flabbergasted.
