I withdraw my declaration. There are 12,000 gardaí and, percentage-wise, a small number have caused difficulties and been investigated by the Morris tribunal. We must also recognise those such as Dick Fallon, Garda Hand and Detective Garda Jeremiah McCabe who sacrificed their lives in the protection of the State. Let us put things in perspective because there is more to the matter than meets the eye. I believe that there is a settlement as far as some of the costs are concerned with regard to the McBrearty family's legal fees.
