The Senator may have unintentionally underlined the difference between having a particular word in Irish and in English. I would not like us to become distracted by this discussion. I agree with Senator O'Toole that the fundamental aspects of the Irish language issue are much more important. No Minister is more capable of arguing his case than the Minister for Community, Rural and Gaeltacht Affairs. I do not think any Minister is more sincere about the Irish language.
