I have received notice from Senator Ulick Burke that, on the motion for the Adjournment of the House today, he proposes to raise the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Finance to urgently put in place a disabled drivers medical appeal board for people seeking redress from the now defunct board who have been waiting for up to three months with no acknowledgement of correspondence, no indication of the status of their appeal or information as to whether there is an appeals process in place.

I have also received notice from Senator Browne of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Transport to outline the steps he has taken to ensure that taxpayers receive value for money in the national roads building programme.

I have also received notice from Senator Terry of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Education and Science to report on the arrangements agreed by her Department with Castleknock Educate Together national school and St. Brigid's GAA club on the use of the remaining land at Beechpark Avenue, Castleknock, Dublin 15.

I have also received notice from Senator Bannon of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Finance to discuss the extension of the rural renewal scheme in County Longford for a further two years, in light of the unprecedented number of development applications and the necessity for completion of current works.

I regard the matters raised by the Senators as suitable for discussion on the Adjournment. I have selected the matters raised by Senators Ulick Burke, Browne and Terry and they will be taken at the conclusion of business. Senator Bannon may give notice on another day of the matter he wishes to raise.
