Waste Management: Statements.

A recent report by the Environmental Protection Agency, an independent expert body, estimates that 60,000 tonnes of waste are burned each year in what it describes as "back yards", producing 18 g of dioxins. This was compared to a modern incinerator treating 1 million tonnes per annum, which would release 0.54 g. Despite the misinformation and the scaremongering, these are the facts.
