I move:

That the proposal that Seanad Éireann resolve that section 17A, inserted by section 2(1) of the Diseases of Animals (Amendment) Act 2001, (No. 3 of 2001), of the Diseases of Animals Act 1966, (No. 6 of 1966), shall continue in force for the period ending on 8 March 2006, be referred to the Joint Committee on Agriculture and Food, in accordance with paragraph (2) of the orders of reference of that committee which, not later than 24 February 2005, shall send a message to the Seanad in the manner prescribed in Standing Order 67, and Standing Order 69(2) shall accordingly apply.
