Kathleen O'Meara (Labour)

I welcome the Minister for Health and Children to the House and thank her colleague, the Minister of State, Deputy Tim O'Malley, for finally providing us with clarity on the important matter of the Government's decision on the Hanly report. The Minister of State was very clear that the Hanly report represents Government policy and will be implemented. Now we know and need no longer listen to remarks such as those made in this House two weeks ago to the effect that I could stop flogging a dead horse and cease to talk about the Hanly report because it was a dead duck. The horse is not dead and the duck is very much alive and part of Government policy.
