Health Services: Motion.
4:00 pm
Geraldine Feeney (Fianna Fail)
The Senator most certainly did talk about closure. Dr. Barrett went on to say that there was nothing in Hanly to prevent flexibility, local consultation, development of local services and the keeping of services locally, as long as it was appropriate and safe to do so. Again, is that not best for patient care? He further said that the perceptions reflected people's anxiety about change. The Opposition is anxious about change. Nobody likes change, but it must be embraced. Do not run away from it.
I am sorry if I sound like a long-playing record but these are matters that have been pointed out from this side of the House time and time again.
