Some years ago the Tánaiste appointed an interdepartmental committee to look at issues of public safety. The group recommended that a new public safety agency should be urgently established to ensure that the highest standards of public safety apply. Does the Leader know if the Government will give effect to the recommendations of the review group?

On a lighter note, I have heard of people having a twinkle in their eye, but the Leader's rather fetching fashion accessory is twinkling, I think, or maybe it is just my eyes.
