Business of Seanad.

10:30 am

Rory Kiely (Fianna Fail)

I have received notice from Senator Leyden that, on the motion for the Adjournment of the House today, he proposes to raise the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Health and Children to outline the current position regarding the development of an Alzheimer's unit and the provision of improved teaching facilities at the Sacred Heart hospital in Roscommon town.

I have also received notice from Senator Coghlan of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Health and Children to make a statement on the apparent imminent threat to the ambulance service in the Kenmare area of County Kerry.

I have also received notice from Senator Morrissey of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Education and Science to make a statement on Fingal County Council's decision that the Beechpark site, on which Castleknock Educate Together national school is located in temporary accommodation, is not suitable for a permanent school.

I have also received notice from Senator Feighan of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Health and Children to clarify the position on proposals, if any, to reduce the number of beds in Plunkett nursing home, Boyle, County Roscommon.

I regard the matters raised by the Senators as suitable for discussion on the Adjournment. I have selected the matters raised by Senators Leyden, Coghlan and Morrissey and they will be taken at the conclusion of business. Senator Feighan may give notice on another day of the matter he wishes to raise.
