I point out to the Leader of the Opposition, Senator Brian Hayes, that we have always been careful in this House to use a person's title when speaking of them. This is a matter of Members of a House of Parliament giving the proper respect to a person who has a title. I do not mean to lecture anybody but state this as a matter of fact. It is something of which I have always been conscious since I entered public life.

The Senator proposes that the Fine Gael motion — No. 18, motion No. 23 — should be taken in conjunction with No. 3, the proposal to hold a three hour debate on rural housing. He also asked that Deputy Brennan attend the House. He is away——
