In my term as Minister of State I had to give regular reassurances that the Roscommon Garda station would not be downgraded and would be retained as a regional Garda headquarters. I am delighted that the former Minister, Padraig Flynn, provided enormous resources during his term of office for the development to a very high standard of the Garda station in Roscommon.
