I move:

That the proposal that Seanad Éireann resolve that section 17A (inserted by section 2(1) of the Diseases of Animals (Amendment) Act 2001 (No. 3 of 2001)) of the Diseases of Animals Act 1966, (No. 6 of 1966) shall continue in force for the period ending on 8 March 2005, be referred to the Joint Committee on Agriculture and Food, in accordance with paragraph (2) of the Orders of Reference of that Committee, which, not later than 4 March 2004, shall send a message to the Seanad in the manner prescribed in Standing Order 67, and Standing Order 69(2) shall accordingly apply.
