Senator Coghlan called for a debate on the press council and competitiveness. I remind Members that copies of the Budget Statement circulated in the other Chamber cannot be removed from the Dáil during the debate. It would be helpful if we received copies of the Minister's speech so that we can have them to hand for the debate here.

Senator Browne wants the Tánaiste and Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment to discuss employment prospects in Carlow, particularly in view of the economic down turn which has occurred there.

It seems foolish to spend one's money on a bet that one would be the first person to receive 12 penalty points on one's licence.
