This is another issue for my party to address. My colleague, Mrs. McKenna, is close to some of the euro-sceptic Tories and I do not share her views. I am not a euro-sceptic. I have been critical but constructive and this is one of the reasons I have seen the Convention as a constructive progression. While the Convention has not been ideal, it is certainly much better than what has gone before. Deputy Gormley has played a constructive role in the Convention, trenchantly putting forward views precisely on the issues surrounding the proliferation of conventional weapons and how this can be controlled in Europe.
