Rory Kiely (Fianna Fail)

I have received notice from Senator Bannon that, on the motion for the Adjournment of the House today, he proposes to raise the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Arts, Sport and Tourism to make a statement on investment in the arts following cutbacks amounting to €4 million overall in the last budget, in the light of the continuing negative impact of such cuts on performing companies and the communities they serve.

I have also received notice from Senator Henry of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for the Environment, Heritage and Local Government to annul the order before the Oireachtas authorising the partial demolition of Carrickmines Castle.

I have also received notice from Senator Morrissey of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Social and Family Affairs to outline the measures and procedures that are in place to ensure that all landlords in receipt of rent allowances are tax compliant.

I have also received notice from Senator Tuffy of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Education and Science to give an update on the urgent need for additional school places in Lucan to meet the needs of its current and future population.
