I have received notice from Senator Higgins that, on the motion for the Adjournment of the House today, he proposes to raise the following matter:

In view of the recent massive mountain landslide at Pullathomas/Glendad, County Mayo, which has led to the destruction of homes and property as well as infrastructure and the evacuation of families from their homes, the need for the Office of Public Works to put in place a compensation package for the families affected and the necessary finance for the reconstruction of damaged infrastructure.

I have also received notice from Senator Henry of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Finance to publish the interdepartmental report on disabled drivers and disabled passengers (tax concessions) (regulations) scheme, which was commissioned five years ago.

I have also received notice from Senator Tuffy of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Defence to give the up to date position regarding plans for the military barracks at Castlebar, County Mayo, and the reason the usage of the barracks appears to be substantially less this year than in previous years.

I have also received notice from Senator Bannon of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Arts, Sports and Tourism to make a statement in relation to investment in the arts, following cutbacks which amounted to €4 million overall in the last budget, in light of the continuing negative impact of such cuts on performing companies and the communities they serve.

I have also received notice from Senator O'Meara of the following matter:
