While this may lead to increased funding for emigrant services in Australia, the level of funding for next year will depend on the budgetary situation facing the Government. The Irish Embassy in Canberra and the Consulate General in Sydney will continue to address the consular needs of the Irish in Australia and work closely with the emigrant welfare centres to ensure the experience of all Irish people in Australia is positive.
