This is the same Government which introduced a 100% increase in bank and ATM charges in the most recent budget. Senator Mansergh has called for a debate on the economy. All of us have received a copy of a little blue book last week – the Government's progress report on broken promises for the period June 2002 to June 2003. It is important that we debate this document which has cost taxpayers something in the region of €100,000 to produce, including contributions by spin-doctors, party hacks, former advisers, etc.
