I request the Leader to invite the Tánaiste or the Minister of State at the Department of Finance, Deputy Parlon, to come before the House to discuss a worrying development, whereby some insurance companies have refused to accept that flood damage is covered by their companies' policies held by residents in the vicinity of the Tolka River. This has happened despite the expenditure of more than €10 million on flood prevention measures in the area. I am sure there are also other stretches of the river involved. There have also been incidents of people's premia being loaded by up to 50%, compared to last year, following claims. On the day when the Minister, Deputy Brennan, has successfully negotiated an agreement with a particular insurance company regarding the penalty points system, a debate on this matter is timely.
