The national cancer forum, under the chairmanship of Professor Redmond, is examining a new national cancer strategy to identify the key areas to be targeted, including psycho-oncology. The forum has identified a great need for this service due to the important role it can play not only for cancer patients but also for their families who are also affected when their loved ones contract such a condition.
