Without a doubt, PULSE has facilitated the more timely, accurate and comprehensive recording of all incidents which come to the attention of the Garda Síochána, which in turn promotes the more comprehensive compilation of publishable crime statistics. This is not just a once-off phenomenon at the time of the initial introduction of PULSE. As more and more constituent systems of PULSE are being brought on line, the ensuing benefits are only gradually being realised within the Garda Síochána.
