Seanad debates

Friday, 21 March 2003

The motion before the House refers to overflights and refuelling at Shannon Airport. The distinction between making new facilities available and maintaining the status quo has not been referred to in this debate. A decision to withdraw the services we have offered to the United States would not be in line with the policies of other European and Arab countries. The Government's decision in this regard is the right one.
