Foreign Conflicts: Motion.
The breakdown in UN consensus was no fault of ours. We have been faced this week with the absence of a further explicit UN resolution and of a common EU position, which have left us, effectively, to take our own decisions. As far as support for war is concerned, we made clear that a second UN resolution was imperative from our point of view – that remains our position and we do not support war. The absolute consistency in that is an expression of our ideals.
