The designation of the term "high level group" to those charged with responsibility for reviewing the Freedom of Information Act is unfortunate. Those involved are eminent people and I agree with Senator Mansergh's description of them as patriots. They work all hours for the good of the country –pro patria. The term "high level group" immediately raises hackles and suggests elitism. Those involved would not consider themselves to be part of such a group and it would be more readily understood if they were referred to as a group of Secretaries General. I know the five of them. They are eminent, proper people and full of probity. They are headed by the Secretary General in the Department of the Taoiseach.
