Rural Development Policy: Statements.
2:30 pm
Timmy Dooley (Fianna Fail)
I welcome the Minister who has taken an enlightened approach to the subject of rural development policy, particularly with regard to the problem of population decline in rural areas. While I lack the objectivity Senator O'Toole displayed in identifying Kilrush as a centre to which a number of Departments should be transferred, I would be delighted to discuss this matter with him and perhaps we could plan a campaign along those lines.
