Seanad debates

Wednesday, 4 December 2002

Sheila Terry (Fine Gael)

Will the Leader ask the Minister for Health and Children to come to the House to facilitate a debate on the health boards, in particular on the issues of value for money, whether the break-up of a number of the health boards into smaller area boards has represented good value for money and whether they are providing the best possible service for those they serve?

Perhaps we could have a debate on crime, in the light of the programme which many of us watched last week. Crime levels are even worse than we thought. Therefore, a debate in the House is urgent.
