Business of Seanad.

Rory Kiely (Fianna Fail)

I have received notice from Senator McHugh that, on the motion for the Adjournment of the House today, he proposes to raise the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Education and Science to outline his plans to provide a solution to the student protests in Ramelton, County Donegal, regarding the overcrowding on the school bus to Mulroy College and Milford community school.

I have also received notice from Senator Glynn of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for the Minister for the Environment and Local Government to provide the necessary resources to upgrade the Mullingar sewer network and sewerage treatment plant in order to allow the town to develop as a gateway town, as envisaged in the national spatial strategy.

I have also received notice from Senator MacSharry of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for the Environment and Local Government to review the allocation provided in the pre-budget Estimates for the local government fund with a view to increasing the allocation to reflect the rising costs local authorities face in the execution of their functions.

I have also received notice from Senator Minihan of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Finance to outline the reason for the delay in awarding the building contract for a new Cork school of music.

I have also received notice from Senator Browne of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Health and Children to explain to reason for the delay in the building of a ten bed extension to Carlow District Hospital.
