While a large percentage of these schemes are successful and productive, a certain number are over-subscribed and have a lesser impact in the areas they are targeted at. There is scope for streamlining and refocusing of some such projects, while others need to be continued and supported to the fullest extent. This service is essential to providing young children with breakfast in the north-east inner city.
