Business of Seanad.

Rory Kiely (Fianna Fail)

I have received notice from Senator Finucane that, on the motion for the Adjournment of the House today, he proposes to raise the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Health and Children to outline when construction will commence on the Alzheimer's unit at St. Ita's Hospital in Newcastle West, County Limerick.

I have also received notice from Senator O'Meara of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Health and Children to restore the breast screening service at Nenagh General Hospital.

I have also received notice from Senator Henry of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Health and Children to explain the reason funding for the postgraduate course in clinical psychology in Trinity College Dublin has been withdrawn at short notice, particularly in view of the serious shortage of such personnel in the country.

I have also received notice from Senator Leyden of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Foreign Affairs to outline the precise contents of the Security Council resolution agreed by Ireland.

I regard the matters raised by Senators Finucane, O'Meara and Henry as suitable for discussion on the Adjournment and they will be taken at the conclusion of business. I regret I have to rule Senator Leyden's matter out of order as it is more appropriate for discussion as a substantive motion.
