I concur with the idea of holding public hearings. The DIRT inquiry was held at a fraction of the cost of a tribunal. The mini-CTC inquiry – I say this with due modesty – which was doing good work at a cost of €1.5 million was grounded as a consequence of the Abbeylara inquiry.
