I am sorry that the Minister is not here today but to be fair, she did send me her apologies that she could not make it. One always likes, if and when possible, to hear the Minister responsible speaking on these issues....

Ossian Smyth: ...;na has the resources it needs. The Department of Justice is making changes to the structures of An Garda Síochána through the roll out of a new Garda operating model. This will become operational in Sligo and Leitrim later this year. It will provide for more front-line gardaí, increased Garda visibility and a wider range of policing services for people in their local area.
