Brian Lenihan Jnr: The National Treasury Management Agency (NTMA) have advised that at end-2009 the national debt stood at €75.2 billion. Based on the projections for the Exchequer Borrowing Requirement for the years 2010 and 2011, as set out in Budget 2011, the estimate for the level of national debt at end-2010 is approximately €94 billion and is approximately €112 billion at end-2011.
