Batt O'Keeffe: My Department has recently authorised Mayo County Council to invite tenders for the provision of a new fire station at Westport, County Mayo, and has indicated that up to €2 million of grant aid will be available for the project. Until the tender process has been completed, it will not be possible to indicate when construction will commence.
