Written Answers — Department of Transport, Tourism and Sport: Driver Test (5 Apr 2022): Hildegarde Naughton: Approved driving instructors are not employed by my Department or the Road Safety Authority. As independent operators, individual driving schools and instructors are best placed to determine how best to meet demand for driving lessons.
