The Sea-Fisheries Protection Authority will routinely liaise with the CFCA in support of their work and to participate in a meaningful way in the operations of the CFCA. Brendan Smith: The Sea Fisheries and Maritime Jurisdiction Act 2006, provided for the establishment of the Sea-Fisheries Protection Authority (SFPA). This independent authority was established on January 1st 2007.
