Other Questions: Garda Deployment (17 Apr 2018)

Michael Moynihan: I asked the Minister in good faith about the number of gardaí in north Cork, but he added a political dimension to it with mention of the bailout and other issues. Michael Moynihan: Kanturk Garda station is only open at certain times. It used to be a mainstay, with a superintendent based in it. Bail (Amendment) Bill 2017: Second Stage [Private Members] (27 Jun 2018)

Michael Moynihan: ...who are out on bail committing crimes and see that 1,200 serial offenders have committed burglaries while out on bail, it feeds into the impression that there is nobody in charge and that the Garda does not have the powers or legislative resources to deal with these issues.
