Jerry Buttimer: As a teacher, however, I have to say that there is a great deal of frustration and angst among teachers about integration which requires urgent attention. I take the Minister's point about this but the policy does not work. I was in a classroom last year with 15 students, ten Irish and five from elsewhere and it was completely frustrating.

Jerry Buttimer: There was a debate on the National Educational Psychological Service in the other House yesterday. Mental health is a subject close to my heart because I am involved with COPE foundation in Cork. There has been a significant increase in the number of children identified with autism, Asperger's syndrome and other pervasive developmental disorders. We need to consider this issue here....
