I note that the provisional outturn for last year was €1.9 million, that spending exceeded this and that a further increase is provided for this year. I presume changes are happening in the context of the RDF.

Funding for integration projects for persons admitted to Ireland as a result of the refugee crisis is eligible for support under the EU Asylum Migration and Integration Fund (AMIF). Ireland's allocation under the AMIF is €19.519 million and the eligibility period for expenditure extends to the end of 2022. This amount covers...

David Stanton: ...from licensed bookmakers. I do not think it would achieve what is intended, which is possibly increased sales for the national lottery. Council of Europe Development Bank Bill 2004: Second Stage (Resumed). (16 Nov 2004)

David Stanton: I am pleased to speak briefly on this important Bill. As Deputy Richard Bruton stated earlier in the debate, Fine Gael supports this Bill. The Council of Europe Development Bank was established in 1956. It is the oldest international financial institution in Europe and the only one with an exclusively social vocation. My interest in this Bill stems from its social vocation. Its main field of...

Health Services: Motion (22 Apr 2008)

David Stanton: Only 5% of patients are admitted to hospital within two hours of stroke onset. Why is that the case? The Irish Heart Foundation report states there were only 12 stroke unit beds nationally and that 30% of hospitals do not have routine access to CT scanning within 48 hours of someone having a stroke. Why is that the case? Following ten years in power and with huge amounts of money...
